Why is it expensive?

Short answer: We use high quality ingredients and don’t cheap out.

👉 The milk powders

We don't use cheap whey protein or fillers. Whey is fine for shakes, but it makes ice cream chalky and icy.

 

We use milk protein isolate, nonfat milk powder, and heavy cream powder - the same stuff premium ice cream shops use. That's what gives CRUSHS its thick, creamy texture.

 

These powders cost more. But you actually get ice cream at the end.

👉 The sweeteners

We use allulose and pure monk fruit extract.

 

Allulose costs 10x more than sugar but behaves like the real thing - caramelizes, no aftertaste, minimal blood sugar impact.

 

Our monk fruit extract is 50% Mogroside - 300x sweeter than sugar with zero glycemic impact. One of the most expensive sweeteners in the world. Takes 100 pounds of fresh fruit to make one pound of extract.

 

We could use erythritol or sucralose for a fraction of the price. We'd rather not.

Guar gum is cheap but has a beany flavor and slimy texture. Xanthan gum can make ice cream chewy.

 

We use Tara gum that comes from the Peruvian Andes - tasteless, odorless, and actually makes ice cream creamy. It's a small thing. But small things add up.

Is it easy to make?

Very easy. Two scoops, milk, done.

Do I need a Ninja Creami?

Nope. A Creami works best, but any ice cream maker or blender will do. See the Make It page for tips.

How much does one bag make?

8 pints. Two scoops + 10-12 oz of milk = one pint.

What kind of milk should I use?

Whatever fits your goals. Dairy, almond, oat, all work great. Some people go low calorie, some add extra protein. CRUSHS works with all of them.

What am I paying for?

Quality ingredients and time saved. No cheap fillers, no junk sweeteners.

 

We use monk fruit extract (10x more expensive than typical sweeteners) and high-quality milk powders (about double the cost of standard). We're not cutting corners to make a few extra sales.

Is it keto?

Not strict keto, but very low carb and no added sugar.

 

Net carbs for a full pint: Vanilla 9g, Chocolate 7g, Strawberry 7g, Salted Caramel 9g.

 

Most brands use 2/3 cup as a serving. We give you the whole pint. (3x their serving size)

Is it lactose free? Is it gluten free? Any allergens?

Lactose Free? No, but very low. Each serving has about 2–2.4g of lactose. Some lactose intolerant customers report using Lactaid or low-lactose milks.

 

Gluten Free? Yes. Gluten Free No gluten-containing ingredients.

 

Allergens

CRUSHS contains Milk (dairy). All of our flavors are made with milk protein isolate, whole milk powder, and cream powder.

 

Our products do not contain peanuts, tree nuts, eggs, wheat, gluten, soy, fish, or shellfish as ingredients.

 

However, our products are manufactured in a facility that also processes products containing other allergens, including peanuts. Equipment is cleaned between batches following GMP and NSF sanitation protocols.

What if I want to return something?

Love this, I add a little liquid stevia because I like a little more sweetness. I use this in a Ninja icream love it great flavor ,clean ingredients, little pricey but you get what you pay for and for me worth it . Just ordered more flavors

I've only made this one time, but my first experience was very positive. I immediately ordered two more in different flavors. I started with vanilla.
